And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. Heb 7:5-8 (KJV)

Your gifts and sacrifices do not end up here on the earth even though they are received here on the earth. Just as fire burns the sacrifice laid on the altar in the Old Testament, so does the fire of God; this time not visible to the ordinary eyes, but it burns our sacrifice and turns them to incense which rises up to God. “But I have received everything in full and more; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. They are the fragrant aroma of an offering, an acceptable sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.” ‭‭Philippians ‭4:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Part of the gifts you are meant to present to God as a priest is a tithe of all your increase. Here on the earth you present the tithe to men to pray over and receive on Gods behalf. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus our High Priest receives them in heaven. The same way the high priest presents the offering of the people’s sacrifices before the mercy seat, that’s how Jesus the priesthood of that heavenly tabernacle receives whatever we present here on the earth and takes it before the Father.

This is part of why your tithing is not an ordinance that began or ended with the law or the Old Testament as many presumed. The priesthood of Melchisedec that received tithe from Abraham preceded the law. Service your priestly altar by paying your tithes and giving generously to God. Whatever you offer to Him here on earth through the earthly priests he has appointed as the five fold gets to Him. Giving is part of the priestly ministry of ALL believers no matter your level of financial blessings. Start from where you are. Start giving that little to God and when you experience explosion, your giving will also explode.

The quality of your sacrifice on the altar is one of the things that determines the strength of your priesthood. From today be deliberate and intentional about what you want to give to God each time you appear before Him. Let your offering be planned the way you plan what you want to wear to church etc. God is not only interested in your heart, He is interested in your hands. Your hands point the direction to your heart.

Change your mindset towards giving and begin to see it as a priestly obligation from today rather than something you do when you feel like.

1. Pray for understanding of what you have read and repent wherever you have fallen short.

2. Pray for the Teens Summit starting all over the nation tomorrow 15th August that God will do a deep work in all teenagers that will be attending. Let everyone or them experience the power of the cross and the power of the Spirit to transform their lives.

3. Pray for the UK convention next weekend that God will move mightily to convict and convert men even as He demonstrates His mighty power through His servant Pastor David Ogbueli to meet their needs.
