For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
– 2 Peter 1:16-21
To realize optimum results from the time you devote to prayer, you have to know when to offer prayers of repentance; prayers of thanksgiving; prayers of intercession and prayers of supplication. In doing these, you are raising prayers from the earth to heaven.
There is a point you get to in prayer and you have to take your position in the heavenly places with Christ and begin to decree the things you want to establish on earth. When you pray from heaven to the earth, you speak with the full authority of God and of Christ and the decrees you make are established unto you. “You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you: and the light shall shine upon your ways” (Job 22:28).
When you are praying from heaven to earth is also the time to prophesy. In prophesying, you are either fore-telling or you are forth-telling. When fore-telling under the prophetic anointing, you speak things that will happen in the future. When you are forth-telling under the prophetic anointing, you create things that will come to be with your spoken word.
Effectiveness in prayer demands that you have good knowledge of the tools that are available to you and know which ones to apply as occasion demands.
God never fails and He never turns deaf ears to our prayers. Whenever things are not working out well, it is either that you have not been praying enough or you have not been praying the right kind of prayers. Get back to your prayer altar; answers are waiting for you there.
- Worship God from the depths of your heart.
- Command all mountains before you to dissolve.
CONFESSION: The fire on my prayer altar will not go down. I commit to praying without ceasing.
