“Now, why do you cry out loudly? is there no king among you? Has your counselor perished? For agony has gripped you like a woman in childbirth. Micah 4:9 (AMP)

We have been made kings and priest by our God to reign on the earth – *“You have made them to be a kingdom [of royal subjects] and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth.” Rev. 5:10* Have you discovered fully your dual role you have been made to function on the earth? We are not only priest unto our God; we are also kings. Kings rule but not just survive or exist. There is an anointing that back up our kingship and dominion on earth. It is called the kingly anointing. The kingly anointing is an anointing for dominion and for government. Not many can maximize fully the potentials or hold on securely to the kingly office. King Saul attained but could not maintain the position because he did not have the character to contain it. Sadly, many in ministry fall after receiving this powerful and authoritative anointing. Therefore, God in His wisdom and love will not bestow this kingly anointing on just anyone, nor will He simply leave it to the unprepared. **Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Eph 4:1-2

The preparation for the ministry of kings are usually intensive and extensive. It usually involves seasons of breaking to produce brokenness. Power in the hand of man without compassion and character will produce a beast. That is the main reason why God allowed Joseph to pass through all the pains and humiliation before he was taken to the palace and crowned. Brokenness is a course in the school of self-discovery before enthronement – even Jesus our high priest had to go through everything we go through today to make him a compassionate high priest.

When Joseph fulfilled his destiny, he saved many lives, including his own family, during a very severe famine which lasted seven long years (Gen. 41-47). People from the surrounding nations came to Egypt to seek his assistance. When Esther fulfilled her destiny, she was an instrument used in saving the Jews from destruction. When Jesus Christ fulfilled His destiny by sacrificing Himself on the cross; He redeemed man and creation. Do not underestimate the outcome when you yield and obey the call of God and fulfill your destiny. For just as through one man’s disobedience [his failure to hear, his carelessness] the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous and acceptable to God and brought into right standing with Him.” Rom 5:19

God will entrust this high office only to those who have discovered themselves and tried in God’s furnace and every chaff burnt. Compassion, Obedience and Faithfulness are key qualities that God is looking for in those who will be entrusted with the kingship and rulership anointing to reign on the earth.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I thank you for your grace upon my life. I ask that you lead me to the part of discovering who I am in and with you. Refine me till I am pure like gold so I can manifest your glory in Jesus’ name, amen.
